The Doris and Alex Weber Jewish Community High School
TODAY. TOMORROW. ALWAYS
The Jewish People. The Jewish Community. The Weber School
The Doris and Alex Weber Jewish Community High School — a dynamic, values-based, trans-denominational Jewish community high school — is having a measurable impact on the future of the Jewish people. By helping shape the lives of hundreds — and what will someday be thousands — of Atlanta’s young, Jewish adults, The Weber School is helping perpetuate, grow, and strengthen Atlanta’s Jewish community and the collective future of the Jewish people.
Every day, by offering a rich academic environment rooted in Jewish values, The Weber School helps shape young minds and hearts. And in doing so, it helps shape the future — the future of the Jewish people.
Every year, The Weber School graduates young adults who become knowledgeable, thinking, responsible Jewish adults. The Weber School’s students are continually challenged — academically, spiritually, creatively and athletically. They are encouraged to reach, to grow, to learn, to think, and to do. Weber School students take a global view of learning and quickly assume a leadership role in the community.
Guided by a learning philosophy of “rosh, lev, vyad” (head, heart, and hand), Weber School students play an active role in Atlanta’s growing Jewish community and the community at large. From raising support for victims of Darfur, to delivering gifts one-on-one that lift the spirits of cancer-stricken children in Atlanta, Weber School students translate their knowledge, skills and values into actions. And simultaneously they are developing their entrepreneurial spirit, working to make a difference in their world.
Weber School students and families know the stakes are high. They know never to take their existence for granted. They understand that they are part of a larger community that is depending on them to make a difference in the world. Most importantly, Weber School students leave The Weber School equipped to do just that.
The Weber School is an important link to the future of the Jewish people. But shaping that future and perpetuating Jewish identity requires an investment in the present. That is why The Weber School is now offering its families and friends the opportunity to be a part of the success.
The past has helped shaped us. Help us shape the future.
The Weber School invites your support — through either a current gift or a legacy commitment — to help ensure a strong future, and has developed several opportunities to facilitate your tzedakah. These opportunities include naming programs, positions or spaces, and developing funds that will provide for the School’s future. Regardless of one’s ability to give today, there are many ways to “create a Jewish legacy” and help secure The Weber School today, tomorrow and always.
