Congregation Beth Jacob

Sixty-six years ago a small group of Jews in Atlanta imagined a home in which they and their fellow Jews could worship, educate their children, celebrate the happy occasions in their lives and reach out to those in need. They did more than imagine. They invested their time, energy and money to build a synagogue that currently serves over 600 members. Congregation Beth Jacob truly is a beacon of light to Jews in the Atlanta community.

Today, we are all fortunate to live in the future that our founders only imagined. We have day schools, high schools, a Kollel and a nationally-recognized Kashruth commission only because of the existence and growth of Congregation Beth Jacob.  Congregation Beth Jacob' s first 66 years were their gift to us. The synagogue is the most important institution of Jewish life and we invite you to join us in perpetuating our founders' legacy and in keeping Congregation Beth Jacob strong for the next 66 years and beyond.

Congregation Beth Jacob is where we worship, educate ourselves, our children and grandchildren; extend community support to one another, celebrate life-cycle events and come together for cultural, spiritual and social functions. Our synagogue is an important part of Orthodox Judaism in Atlanta, Georgia and is a large contributor to Atlanta's Jewish community.

Congregation Beth Jacob's Endowment Fund provides permanent income for the current and future needs of our congregation. Our Foundation is a cushion against financial uncertainty and allows us to initiate and sustain new programming. Just as a family's savings provide security and opportunity, Congregation Beth Jacob's Endowment Fund paves the way for a more secure tomorrow. As the endowment grows, it will be an important guarantee of a vibrant future for Congregation Beth Jacob in the decades ahead.

Your contributions to our endowment will:

  • Relieve the constant increases of membership dues;
  • Expand programs to educate both children and adults;
  • Recruit qualified personnel for all phases of operations;
  • Provide assistance to rabbinical projects;
  • Accelerate the Strategic Plans for a campus in the future which would include sanctuary enhancements as well as facilities for our social events; and
  • Provide vitality and financial stability for future generations of Jews.

When thinking about the future, we all worry about the worldly needs of those we leave behind. But we also must concern ourselves with the world that they will inherit. By including Congregation Beth Jacob in your estate planning, you will insure that Judaism, Torah and community will continue to flourish. You gift guarantees the Jewish future of Congregation Beth Jacob.
