The Alfred and Adele Davis Academy

Life is a journey…

It starts with who we are….Where we come from…And who we are today.
It is shaped by what we learn along the way.
At home, in our communities, and at the schools we choose.
Making the right choices is what learning is all about.

It starts with the Davis Academy.

Our Beginning

The Alfred and Adele Davis Academy began its journey as the vision of Jewish lay leadership in Atlanta who saw a need to provide a comprehensive, integrated Jewish education program for families based on the practices of Reform Judaism. The Davis Academy opened its doors in the fall of 1992, with a total of 20 students. A generous endowment given by the families of Ann and Jay Davis and Dulcy and Jerry Rosenberg, children of the late Alfred and Adele Davis, ensured the financial security of the school

Our Present

Today, the Davis Academy is one of the largest kindergarten prep through eighth grade Reform Jewish Day Schools in the United States. The Davis Academy’s educational program has received accolades both locally and nationally. The school is accredited through SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools), SAIS (Southern Association of Independent Schools), and GAC (Georgia Accrediting Commission).

Throughout their years at Davis, students take a unique journey: It’s about families coming together in song, learning how to treat each other, and giving children opportunities to explore who they are and who they want to become. At its core, the Davis experience is based upon our Jewish values which demonstrate that how we treat each other and live together every day shapes the greater world. Our graduates enter well respected high schools and colleges across the country and have shown exemplary academic and leadership skills throughout their school careers.

Our Future

Continuing our journey and building upon our legacy to ensure the future of the Davis Academy is a foremost priority. Endowed gifts to the Davis Academy will have a lasting impact on our ability to provide financial assistance to all qualified Jewish students who wish to enroll. Legacy gifts will also help us continue to provide the highest standards of academic excellence by attracting and retaining dedicated, experienced, and compassionate educators; maintaining our robust technological environment; expanding our athletic, fine arts, and performing arts programs; and ensuring our students’ connection to their Jewish heritage and identity.

Please join us on our journey to preserve, enhance, and safeguard this remarkable institution so that we may continue to nurture, challenge, inspire, and educate our children for generations to come.

Life is a journey…

It starts with the Davis Academy.

And it depends on you.
